The step by step process of bladesmith Andy Davis forging a 50 layered pattern welded tactical fighter knife in the style of Dwarven craftsmanship.
And YES... That is indeed a log splitter hydraulic press we've converted into a forging press in the video... ;)

Absolutely gorgeous stuff. I had to go to your website and looks at what you do. A few questions though if you don't mind. How does your blades last up to today's knifes that you see in the market for combat, self defense, cooking, and bushcraft?

what type of metal are you using forging the billet is it high carbon steel

May I inquire why you chose Maple to use for the handle of the knife? Is there a particular quality of maple that is well suited for this knife?

So what step do you have to do to make it a +1 or +2 dagger. If possible can you make me a +3 holy avenger with the vorpal ability. HAHAHah sorry I nerded out there a bit. Awesome shop, knife, and vid.
