  • can i use this on a dark green car?. looks more like black but you can see the green when the sun hits it.

  • @jchino1229 Black Box should only be used on Black cars. We've tested Black Box on dark green cars previously and saw some shadowing. You'd be better off with a good wash followed by traditional type of wax.

  • I recommend using the detailer to help remove both the cleaner and the wax for a major reason. Lubrication! Wiping a black finish with a dry cloth can lead to rubbing and buffing that can put incidental swirl marks back into the black finish. Using the detailer to help remove Steps 1 and 2 minimizes this concern. You can also use the Black Detailer in between regular waxings.

  • My black car needs waxing bad. I'm scared to touch it.

  • @cory2146 Take a little Black Box to it and you'll be all set!

  • how long does this product last? i am reading online people complaining that the product does not last more than a month or after several carwashes and all the paint imperfections soon reappear? i am not sure if it is user error (ie. not applied correctly), or it is not a durable product that is only suitable for short term "show car" presentation, rather than regular daily driver exposure?

  • @fabulousprofound Some finishes are just prone to surface imperfections and sometimes deeper swirl marks are harder to remove. It may take two to three Black Box treatments in a year to properly correct the paint. Wax durability is also extended by better surface prep. Try using a clay kit first before applying Black Box on cars with severe surface scratches. Results will be better, and the wax will last longer.

  • @cory2146 Don't be afraid. I bought a new Audi and I was scared to death to wax it thinking I would somehow cause damage...it was simple and it looked amazing. I used Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. It took about an hour to wax the entire car after I washed it and used a clay bar to remove surface contaminants. I like the Meguiars wax because it doesn't show on trim if you get some on there. I am going to use this black box but only in the summer so it lasts longer.

  • Fail demonstration, I could see the swirls at the end

  • Seems like a lot of towels are going to be needed. Approx how much did you end up using?

  • OK SO I JUST PAINTED MY CAR WITH GLOSS BLACK RUSTOLEUM WET SANDED IT WITH 1000GT AND CUT AND POLISHED IT WITH TURTLE WAX RUBBING COMPOUND AND BUFFER POLISHER . AND WELL I KNOW IT NEEDS TO BE WAXED WOULD THIS WORK ON THIS?

  • bought this and was happy with the results, it made the blue pearl in the paint sparkle.

  • fail... meguiars is the best

  • that paint is really swirled...

  • i used this and i was able to HIDE most of the scratches i liked it and my car use to look like that truck but then i got it detailed and REMOVED all my scratches.. the only thing is that looks like when i did it, it hid more scratches than on that truck... still its alright if you don't want to spend a lot of money to get it detailed...

  • it will do any colour car as long as its black
