The Hollyhock Parade turned 74 of July 4, 2008. A Grand Rapids a neighborhood event for over 70 years. The parade and its post-parade ceremonies began as a way for parents to pass along patriotism to their children.
Bands, firetrucks, floats, historical cars, candy and politicians, the Hollyhock Parade sees it all! Gerald Ford even spoke there early in his political career!
