  • @mooiegarage. Yes, it's the digital one. Paid £1450 for it. Had to order and pay prior to manufacture, to make sure my name was on the list for the next production batch of 50. Took 6 months before I got it, but Markus was very good and kept in touch.

  • @cweatherhill Congratulations on your new Mellotron, man. The M4000D is the digital one, right? Must be quite practical to bring to shows etc. I've been a fan of 'that sound' since I first heard it on record. And now, of course, dream of owning one myself. May I ask you how much you paid for yours?

  • @cweatherhill Maybe someday, I'll have the funds, but for now, Mike Pinder Presents Mellotron CD sampled to my Korg Triton will have to do. I'm pleased with my sound, but it takes 5 minutes on power-up to load samples in. I understand the new 'tron only has mono output per sound. I guess you could run it through a stereo delay. I used to do that with my M400 back in the '70s. Loved that thing (when it worked). Roland space echo made it sound huge!

  • Amazing work !

  • Received my Mellotron M4000D 3 weeks ago, Gareebee. GORGEOUS thing! The 2 extra keys (lower F and F sharp) make a difference. So many sounds: 100 of them, and the ability to mix any two to varying degrees. Weighs only 33lbs. Watch your windows if you play the cathedral pipe organ sound through 80 watts, though - the sound on this makes that monster in the Albert Hall sound like a penny whistle. It's IMMENSE!

  • The all new digital Mellotron! Kewl! Somebody buy me one!

  • Great stuff Nicklas!

  • Absolutely excellent! Picks up where the great Morte Macabre left off. The spirit of Goblin is alive and well!
