Sure it's different, yes FF6,7,8,10 whatever was amazing and things wont live up to it (to your standards) but it's another great Square Enix game. Period. I liked everything about XIII except maybe the story and how linear it was. The visuals are STUNNING and the soundtrack is beautiful! Characters were alright, gameplay was great.

@RabbidRake haha, I usually don't meet very die hard FF9 fans but yes, it was a good one. Not one of my personal favorites but again like all FF games, they are 10000x better than the crap some companies spit out each year and call it "gaming" *cough cod *cough. It had beautiful animation, great story, and a overall blissful experience that really wrapped you into the story. Well I guess that describes all FF games haha.

@DevilElite1 I agree with you completely, but just getting fired for a remake of FF7 (even though i want one as well). The only factor I believe is the cost. Since everyone can't be satisfied with any of their games, it could also be that if they don't live up to the expectations of a FF7 remake that's the best ever, then no one would ever buy their games. Maybe when they get a lot better, they'll make one.

@KenpaZara If you look at Skyrim, it's a single player game with a lot of success. Which really tells that the single player games or games that are story-driven is not dead. It feels like that gamers nowadays are simply lazy and wants to play games that are easy to pick up or not so much "restricted" to following a story or a plot like traditional RPGs.

BTW, when I played Legend of Dragoon, it was only an okay game bc of its FF competition. Only part I liked was the timing attacks.

@KenpaZara Part 2 =). But I mean for what you said about time spans of games, a traditional RPG, yes takes up at least 40-50 hours minimum. But the game is not asking you to play 5-8 hours a day, whereas you can play 1-2 hours and continue the next day. Similar to playing a COD multiplayer match, the time that you "add-up" playing will probably be more than an entire RPG game.

@KenpaZara It is sad that you feel this way, but I can understand this is how the gaming industry is changing. Like you said, most games that are released now are focused towards the multiplayer part and the main story is heavily ignored like the most obvious COD and shooters. I feel that since the MMO genre, gamers are leaning towards multiplayer or co-op games and that video games as a whole should not be a sing player experience. For example, Left 4 Dead's main story is focused towards coop.

@JeremyPowers85 I don't think so greatly of CC, I think greatly of the original FF7. Cerberus was a bad game b/c it was a bad shooter game. The controls was bad, the mechanics wasn't good and the whole game environment was horrible. Compare to other shooter game titles at the time, Cerberus couldn't even match. I never said CC was great, but just better than Cerberus.

Enix is garbage b/c they ruin the good name of Final Fantasy.
