....in others words, those who think they have a license to sin are giving hard evidence that their salvation is false and they are not truly saved. Many will think on judgement day that they are saved and they are not (they have been deceived) but only few will truly be saved on that day. People who examine their life (2 Cor. 13:5) and determine their life isn't that of a christian need to repent and place their faith in Jesus christ.

@Bosingr True faith (salvation) is simply from faith in Christ and repentance from sins. These two come hand in hand. Likewise, once we are saved, there is a change, the old man is dead and God has created a new creature. James 2:17 tells us that faith without works is dead. In other words, those whose life doesn't resemble that of a Christian probably aren't Christian. In other words as Jesus says, if a Christian does not bear fruit, then they are not a Christian...continued....

@Bosingr wow dude way to take the Bible out of context. ok first, what does the luke verse have to do with losing salvation?
second, u took the verse in matthew out of context. this verse relates to people who think they r saved just because they go to church, do good deeds etc.
third, once again a misinterpretation. This verse is saying that if you don't do good works as a christian, then no one is goin to b able to tell that u are a christian.

@thatkidwithADHD True faith is obedience and is active. True faith isn't passive.
""Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21
"In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2:17

@Bosingr being saves is simply recieving God's gift of salvation. Works is something we do when we are already saved, but dont u dare call my God a liar and think that works gets us into heaven. If we could save ourself then Jesus death on the cross was and is a lie.

I'm shocked that there is a "works" discussion going on here. Here's the truth: we're not saved by works, we're saved by faith. But as James 2 states,"Faith without works is DEAD." When in doubt, follow the leader: "...He (Jesus) went about DOING good..." Acts 10:38 If you're a child of God, you'll ACT like him. "BE imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children..." Eph. 5:1 If you see no fruit (no love, no deeds), there is NO FAITH. You can't have one, and not the other. See Acts 26:20.
