This is my first ever tutorial placed on You Tube. I now have newer clearer videos available. I decided to leave these old videos on here because they are still being used by hundreds of people. I know the picture is poor quality. The actual tension and creating the stitches start at the3:00 mark. This is Part one for beginners The Bethintx method. knotless chain.

You certainly have the time to be irritating to someone who only wishes to help others learn to crochet. There are other videos! I really wish you would move on and stop commenting on mine. Can you do better?

I know this. That is why I covered the entire video with an annotation saying to go to a new improved video. That is why I re-made it. That is why I tell you in the description below the video. If you would turn on your annotations & read the video descriptions, you would not have wasted your time.

So I know how to crochet, but I'm having one problem. After I finish a row, I add another chain, but as I keep going, my sides aren't straight, they start to curve down and get smaller. Do you know why this is happening? It's really frustrating. My baby is due in April and I'm trying to make her a blanket.

You must be skipping a stitch somewhere. Check out my video series Back To Basics. Search for the stitch you are using . For example, search my channel for "Back To Basic single crochet".

I disagree. The price is what makes it great for beginners. You can tear it out and re-crochet it over & over. Then if the person does not continue with crochet they are not out of a lot of money. I chose it because it's low cost, it's easily available (in the US) and it is hard wearing. I like Red Heart yarns. Yes there are some better quality yarns, but beginners need to use something smooth that is not too slippery and can take ripping and re-use.

You make no sense? I am here because I am a photographer and was thinking it would be better for me to make my own newborn shoot things instead of pay huge money for someone else to do it. Not sure why you watching these tutorials if you think this is for someone that has nothing else to do??????????

I first watched this video in early 2009, and with this and the help of my Klutz crochet book, I learned to do it!

I've gotten a lot better, and I absolutely love to crochet.

    Thanks.

It's a crochet along, the purpose of the video is for you to follow along and do the video with the teacher. Yes you are young and you are ignorant because you have no clue what you talking about before you posting things and be rude learn the difference between a quick crochet video and a crochet along.
