Yes, in fact, bass should be more present, we barely ear it! And the bass line is so beautiful !

The men voices (in particular of bas) should be more present... This piece was written in particular for bas (as a matter of fact, in the original parts there is an accompaniment written for basso continuo). Even though it's ok! I like it.

@carloCGN Definitely a woman. I will confirm for mankind... and my ears are never wrong when it comes to that. There are some things the finest of sopranistas and boys simply CAN'T do. :)

Lovely gaiety but a little too muddled for my liking. Beautiful soprano top though, but the counter-tenor seems a little inarticulate in some parts and the tenor also seems drowned out here and there (which bites because I love the tenor in this - one of the few Bach pieces where we tenors really get to be elegant and jolly without sounding urgent). Beautiful phrasing though and lovely soprano. But then, who can expect any less of the Hilliard Ensemble? I have been a huge fan for years!
