  • marbling is originally named as "ebru" in turkish and this is a turkish art(ottoman)

  • Indeed these are acrylics, once upon a time this technique was done in oil but acrylics dry much quicker allowing more coats in a shorter period- so for professional work the move has been to waterbased (healthier and better for the environment as well), and with a varnish over them will last far longer than oils.

  • its acryclic scrumble glaze,i believe being acrylic.marbling should be done oil based much better finish,and it lasts longer

  • there is at least a dozen ways to do it that i know of

  • when you say marbling gell do you mean scumble glaze? im doing some in college im doing painting and decorating.how come you dont mix the scumble with the pigament
