This sandwich reminds me of the years I lived in Chicago. Easy to make and great to eat.

  • oil? what kind

  • Canola oil. When cooking it is a good idea to use an oil that has a high smoke point. I use extra virgin olive oil only as a finishing oil. High temperatures can destroy any flavor the oil may have.

  • i live in the uk, as far as i know, we dont have an equivalent to that dried italian dressing, can you think of any alternatives?
