I really like this. I might make one suggestion. Cornelius was what the New Testament refers to as a "God fearer" (check the Book of Acts and see). So, he wouldn't have had to ask "Who's God?" But, since he hadn't gone so far as to convert to Judaism, his food would have been considered unclean, no matter what he served Peter. (The same can be true in Judaism today.)
But of course, the notion that you become unclean eating with a Gentile just because he's a Gentile was never biblical.
