Golden Sun Part 63 (Kalay Docks)

This is Part 63 in my walkthrough of Golden Sun. Since this game enables you to save at any time, my videos will be 10mins each until my next save point.

--After finishing the 3 cave mini missions, I headed towards Kalay Docks. The ship will be taking off soon for Tolbi.
After boarding the ship, several pressing issues appear before we can set sail. One being, that the Karagol Sea has been having monsters crawling all over it lately and attacking the ships.

How come Garet acts like he's never seen the sea? shouldn't he have been able to see the ocean from the Mercury Lighthouse?
