Backyard Beach!

A tropical vacation (to Samana, Dominican Republic) last year inspired me to create my own backyard beach and tropical garden. People thought I was crazy but I had a vision of tropical flowers, palm and banana trees around me and sand beneath my feet. I researched and found a way to incorporate hardy tropicals: hardy hibiscus, banana and palm (trachycarpus fortunei). And ordered tons of sand/soil etc. I was on a very tight budget but managed to make it happen. Thanks so much to Kev for removing sod, building the flagstone patio, engineering the beach etc. It took a lot of hard work but we made it happen!

(I had originally posted this video with another song but they blocked it. So I'll use one of my own songs! I have enough of them! Just further proof to go after your dreams even when obstacles come up! Don't let them get you down!) :)

NIce beach away from the beach, We are working on ours now and as soon as the Hurricane goes by we will get back to it, We plan to only have sand and our beach chairs and our grill
