Video sucks but its the coyette howling that is just amazing. Stay up their late if your not scared to drive at night you see so much in the last 30 mins of light at cades cove and their is NO traffic then.

FYI there are deer in the video which is what my friend is talking about that "they are so scared". The coyote were tawnting the dear hoping to get one :)

  • @xgi36 There is a small group of dear in the field. You can't tell from the video. That is what she is referring to in the video. They did looked scared half to death. lol

  • I see fire flys!!!

  • Yes it was firefly season, truly one of the most beautiful nights there I have ever experience. We wanted to go see the firefly's at Elkmont, but now they make you take a bus:( Capes cove is the next best thing :)

  • We have coyotes around my home. It's always surreal to hear them yelping in the late evening hours. GREAT video, btw!

  • @bcmooney101 u mean deer

  • Cades Cove is spectaculary pretty. Unfortunately, there traffic on the loop road through the cove is generally bumper to bumper, seriously detracting from any visit. But if you can catch it at the right time, you'll never see a more beautiful and tranquil place.

P.S. One good way to experience the cove is to take one of the ranger-led night walks that are scheduled during the summer.

  • lol that was so cute!! "theyre scared to death i feel sorry for em"

  • Where I wanna be.

  • Awesome Video.

  • At like three in the morning last night... a coyote decided it just HAD to start howling. Right in front of my window. So I woke up downright frightened.

    These things sound freaking awesome.

It's incredibly dangerous how housing developments everywhere are driving these creatures into close contact with humans.

  • awesome vid. i love this place
