Coming from an American, British TV is much better because:

They don't remake the same crap over and over like American Idol, X Factor, etc.

They choose quality over quantity by choosing 6 quality episodes over 20 crap ones

They don't take their stuff from British shows, again American Idol, X Factor, Shameless, The Office

The acting is believable

Better comedy

The BBC have no commercial breaks during their programmes, the others have 1 or 2, while American channels have them every 7 mins.

For the entire show all this guy talks about is how "wonderful" and "mystical" the universe is while showing bright colorful pictures and leaving out almost all of the educational information that you would expect on the science channel. Conveniently, this "dumbed down" version of How The Universe Works airs around bed time because it will put you to sleep. The only thing you learn from this program is that the universe is too complicated for you to understand.bulshit. -American

shit im british and even i know american t.v. is light years ahead of british tv. the only british show that could compete is top gear, and even that couldn't keep my interest for two episodes, i'd rather watch walking dead, board walk empire, mad men, entourage, sons of anarchy, and son on even as we speak more and more better show are being made in america period.
