Jon Peter is an executive producer on Man of Steel. There are spider-like tripod ships in the movie. That is all.

They showed a polar bear near the Fortress of Solitude in Man of Steel. When I saw it, all I could think of is Kevin Smith's story. Lol

Tell Sam Reimi. Producers forced Venom on Spiderman 3, and we know how that ended...

Jon Peters later worked on the script for a Sandman film, Neil Gaiman (the author of Sandman) called it "easily the worst script I've ever read", and described how Peters really wanted to put a giant mechanical spider in it.

He's probably only on as he's a rightsholder for the property at Warner Bros, contrually he probably has to be there in a supervisory capacity. Much like Michael Uslan on all the Batman movies from Burton through to Nolan.
