Nino Tempo's tribute to his late mentor, Ahmet Ertegun.
Nino was discovered twice in his lifetime by Ahmet Ertegun. The first time was with his sister, April Stevens...the second time many years later as a jazz saxophonist. Ahmet was pivotal in changing Nino's life. It is with great love and emotion that he dedicates one of Ahmet's favorite songs to his longtime friend.
For the first time, I met his Sax on 'The Kenny Rankin Album' 35 years ago. But until today, I didn't know he was a great singer on 60's. Is he a great jazz musician? Or great singer? Which is greatest Nino!? -from Japan.

One of MY favorite songs, played by one of my favorite musicians! Dedicated to one of my favorite people. It just doesn't get any better than this. *sigh* Thank you, JimC1389!

I am delighted that Nino Tempo has continued with his musical career, even if on a more limited basis than in the past. It has been a nice long run. It's great to see and hear a musician who becomes one with his musical instrument when he plays it!
