On May 16, 2009 Brent set the elliptical bike distance record by completing the 103-mile San Diego Century Ride in 7 hours and 3 minutes. This is a short overview of his experience. The elliptiGO performed flawlessly throughout the event and kept Brent on pace with the middle of the pack of cyclists.

  • what do you do when you have to stop?

  • When you want to stop pedaling, you simply stop pedaling and "coast". The ElliptiGO 8S has a standard Shimano 8-speed hub that "freewheels" so you don't have to pedal all of the time. Also, it comes with industry standard front and rear v-brakes that provide plenty of stopping power.

  • I want to see him jump something

  • aha everyone he passes they just look at him like wtf is he on o.o :P

  • The gear ratio on that thing must be insane. His cadance appears to be the same as that of the cyclists he was passing, but he was obviously covering much more ground per revolution, despite having much smaller tires!

  • Great video, the grocery store music isn't my favorite!

  • apply the brakes?
