Storyline:
When Arthur gets a new manservant the last thing he expected was to fall in love with him. He finds himself constantly thinking about him. At the same time Arthur knows it is forbidden. He is a prince and Merlin is a mere servant. Merlin falls in love with Arthur and realises how Arthur feels in return. When Merlin confronts Arthur about his feelings, Arthur ignores it. It causes arguments. Arthur fails to act on his feelings knowing that his father would never allow it. He asks his father to bend the rules, but his father refuses because Merlin is a servant. Arthur patches things up with Merlin, thinking they would be able to carry on as Prince and Servant. After a little while, Arthur gets confused by the strong feelings he has for Merlin. Seeing him everyday doesnt help. Merlin sees Arthur getting ready to leave and when Arthur sees Merlin again he becomes confused and feels he needs time to himself to sort things out. Merlin wants to stop him from leaving but it is too late.
Merlin decides to go after him, determined to get Arthur to say how he feels. Arthur tells Merlin that nothing can happen between them and his father wouldnt allow it.
They return to Camelot and try and carry on with their lives but it proves to much as neither of them can deny their feelings. Despite this, Arthur still treats Merlin as a servant even though Arthur sees him as more than that. It becomes too much for Merlin and they argue. Arthur finds Merlin and apologizes and they decide to have an affair in the castle. Soon enough, Gaius finds out about it and he tells the King. Uther demands that Merlin be arrested. When Arthur hears about it, he immediately finds Merlin and tells him to leave to save his life. However, whilst running, Merlin is captured and thrown in the dungeon.
Arthur goes to Uther and argues. He asks Uther why hes doing this and Uther tells him its to protect him. Arthur cant stand by and watch Merlin die. He breaks him out of the dungeon and they go to the forest. Arthur wants to stay with Merlin but Merlin insists he go back to Camelot because it is where he belongs and its his destiny. Arthur promises to come back for Merlin but when Arthur gets back he is thrown in the dungeon for disobeying his father. Arthur is given the chance to explain and he tells Uther that he loves Merlin. Uther lets Arthur out in a week.
A week later Arthur is let out and he thinks about whether he should go and see Merlin. He is afraid of putting both their lives at risk. Morgana persuades him that he should do what he thinks is right.
Arthur goes to Uther and persuades him to let him and Merlin be together. Uther sees how much this means to Arthur and allows it. When Merlin and Arthur come back to Camelot they are able to be together with no fear. Uther decides to get to know Merlin. He realises how loyal he is and Merlin tell Uther he will do anything for Arthur which pleases Uther.
When Arthur falls ill, Merlin takes care of him and never leaves his side. Uther thanks Merlin for what he did and Arthur tells the public of his love for Merlin. Soon after, Arthur asks his fathers permission to marry Merlin and Uther agrees. Arthur proposes to Merlin and he accepts. They live happily ever after.

the dragon may have saved arthur but when he returns uther will not be so lucky still anthony head is vital to this series and i hope the writers get into more chrachter back ground of who he is arthur is different from his father more like his mother in temperment but he has his fathers impatience looking forward to more episodes
