The Sophomore Scholars in Residence program fosters a community of learners by bridging curricular and residence experiences of students through experiential and innovative curricular and co-curricular activities both on and off campus. The Capstone Presentations are the culmination of their experience in the program.
Throughout the fall 2009 semester students examined the roots and impact of the urban crisis on metropolitan areas including racial segregation, poverty, population shifts, flight, and suburban sprawl, public housing and urban renewal, riots and resistance, and deindustrialization.
