  • @susanwilson13 I'm not asking why there are arguments, I'm just pointing out how useless it is on YouTube

  • @1rubensito1 There are only arguements because people have different ideas.

  • There is no way you are going to get anything out of arguing or asking questions on youtube. If you REALLY want your questions answered, email the guys at the Gospel Coalition and keep asking away (respectfully) till you get to a conclusion. Same goes for Christians, go ask knowledgable Atheist (Not Dawkins, or Hitchens) about their thoughts. Stop arguing and start asking.

  • @dugw15

You say this God is worthy of iit ALL however I DO NOT AGREE!

    Why don't I agree? LOGIC

Do you think Threats are an effective way to get love or honor or respect?

Do you become friends with or fall in love with someone that says love me or i'll set you on fire. Does that just win your love?

In reality real love can not come by Threats!

    Threats only get my HATE!

Is this somehow "Magically" different if an invisible deity does it then a person standing before you?

  • @MrGoodNKinky

Take particular note of the words "inordinate" and "excessive" in the first definition. Being the greatest, most beautiful and perfect thing that could possibly exist, an "excessive" or "inordinate" amount of attention cannot be paid to God by ANYONE, even Himself, because he is worthy of ALL attention and honor.

Secondly, Piper made it very clear in this video, as well as this one (/watch?v=43yC_JwSsIU), that God's self-exaltation is an act of love toward us.

  • This makes this God a complete and total NARCISSIST!

    Narcissism is defined as

    1. inordinate fascination with oneself; excessive self-love; vanity.

    2. Psychoanalysis . erotic gratification derived from admiration of one's own physical or mental attributes, being a normal condition at the infantile level of personality development.

    Vanity = PRIDE!

According to the bible this God views Pride as a maor sin.

So no one else can have any pride but this fucker is LOADED WITH IT!

  • @laserboy75 logical and physical explanation- the sensation and internal realisation of this totally transcends the physical does it not? Look, all I know is this- I was once dead in sin, like alot of people; a depraved, lustful, evil-minded guy, but when I truly repented from all that I was and put faith in the invisible God I had trouble believing, I became sensitive to sin and began to love God's way. I know I couldn't make these changes in myself, nor imagine them, thats why I conclude this

  • @laserboy75 I've asked myself this question time & time again, when I fall back into old sinful habits and begin to doubt my salvation. Surely you'll agree that those who are sane, fundamentally know they are sane? I know this, therefore in my sanity, my only conclusion is that what happened to me from the first experience to the last, is what the Bible describes as a person being born again and regenerated by the Spirit of God. If you love someone, you don't need a clearly rational,

  • @UnrealHelix I'm sure you have heard this before, but couldn't you're "personal and internal experiences" be just that - something internally created, with no external cause? The mind is a wonderfully powerful thing which we have little understanding of. What you say "what is evidence", are you talking generally, or do you mean what would be evidence for God's existance?

  • @laserboy75 You're right man and I fully agree with you on this actually. In reality, I don't like to and shouldn't be involved these kind of debates because my beliefs are based not on what I believe to be true, but on personal and internal experiences. The question is though, what is evidence?
