Leader of Russian LGBT Human Project GayRussia.Ru Nikolai Alekseev and his fellow activists from Moscow Gay Pride movement took part in the opposition rally in support of Article 31 of Russian Constitution which guarantees the right to freedom of assembly. The unsanctioned event took place on Triumfalnaya Square in Moscow on 31 August 2010. The video features Russian human rights activists Ludmila Alekseeva (Moscow Helsinki Group), Lev Ponomarev (Movement for Human Rights), Alexei Simonov. Nikolai Alekseev was joined by Alexei Davydov and Anna Komarova as well as other LGBT activists who accompanied Ludmila Alekseeva to her car. As a result of the rally in Moscow on 31 August 2010 more than 70 protestors were brutally arrested by the police, including Russian opposition figures Boris Nemtsov, Ilya Yashin, Sergei Udaltsov, Konstantin Kosyakin and Eduard Limonov. Moscow authorities ban Strategy 31 manifestations since June 2009. Not a single of them was authorized in Russia 's capital.
