SUPER is the story of Frank Darbo (Rainn Wilson), a cook in a local diner, who loses his wife Sarah (Liv Tyler) to a glamorous drug dealer, Jacques (Kevin Bacon). Armed with only a pipe wrench, Frank decides to dress up as a superhero, the Crimson Bolt, to fight the injustices in the world he can't seem to overcome in his own life. Along the way he teams up with Libby (Ellen Page), a nymphomaniac, sociopathic 22 year old comic book store clerk, who becomes his ultraviolent "kid sidekick" Boltie. Together they fight true evil - people who butt in line, sell pot, or key the sides of cars - and, eventually, they take on Jacques and his other gangsters to save Frank's wife.
SUPER is in turns violent, dramatic, comedic, and tragic, and promises to be one of the most outrageous films of 2011.
