Great video. I love how the British take to heart the "Pomp and Pageantry" of their heritage. The only thing we have here in the USA is at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. This is a very humbling experience. I do have 1 question. Does the changing of the guard ceremony take place at Buckingham and Windsor Palaces whether Her Majesty The Queen is at the respective castle or not? thanks for letting us "yanks" enjoy.

Yes that is indeed the man who wrote the march. He's even got a YouTube account called, "MrGregMM."

Was the march "Provectus Ut Vir" written by the bandmaster of the Coldstream Guards, WO1 Greg Machin or is the name just a coincidence

What a wonderful selection of march music. There is just something about "the Red Mens March" that I can listen to repeatedly and still enjoy. And the individual who penned "Provectus Ut Vir" has earned himself a place in the history of British military march music. I watched and listened to it played by the massed bands at 2010 practice for the trooping of the colour. The perfromance on this date was crisp and well balanced. Thanks from Oklahoma USA for all the great video's.
You are right. This is a wonderful selection of marches. About the Provectus ut Vir, the march was written by Greg Machin and he is the Bandmaster Coldstream Guards.
A short remark about your comment: the ceremony is called Trooping the Colour, not the Trooping of the Colour, which you might have from tourist books or so, who regularly name it wrong.

Thanks for the compliments, but I have a simple handycam camera, so quite easy on a tripod to walk with them and to have the camera taking the footage. I am happy with the videos I make when I am there, but I realise that this is not professional, but I think the sound is very very nice to enjoy afterwards.
