Broadcast in 2002 on AMC, I was interviewed as part of this special discussing the celebrity fued that developed between John Grisham and Oliver Stone over the case of two teenagers who went on a killing spree and the case that developed that tried to blame Stone's movie Natural Born Killers as part of their motivation.
"Those who say that a work of art is an invitation to violent anti-social behavior are not very bright." (Spoken in light of the furor over Natural Born Killers)

Grisham is a greedy opportunist.
Oliver Stone never said that killing people was "cool"! Instead he has condemned violence ever since "Platoon" put him on the Hollywood map.
NBK was a journey into 2 killers' insane psyche, not a glorification of violence. Life does not imitate art. Violence's been there long before the invention of cinema and TV! How stupid a controversy.
