Siuil a Run / Sula Ruin / Siul a Ruin performed by Clannad, with lyrics.

Translation of the chorus is as follows:

Walk, walk, walk, O love,
Walk quickly to me, softly move;
Walk to the door, and away we'll flee,
And safe may my darling be.

  • it is GAEILGE...in other words it is the irish language!

  • @candiemilkshake That's what I said :) That's the Irish spelling, though. Being English myself, I use the English way of spelling it as it's easier.

  • 50 to 54 is either gaelick or latin i think

  • @DarkDragon14358 All of the stuff that's not English is Irish Gaelic :) Hope this helps.

  • I love Siuil a Ruin. Has anyone heard the version by Cecile Corbel?

  • @PianoKeys4 Noop. Is this Charis?

  • @cozycute Do you mean...at the same time that you are listening to them, so as to find the translation word by word? A smile from a rainy Parma, Italy!

  • @firsa62 Oh. I was saying that it would be nice to know the lyrics AT THE TIME. I use Google translate too.

  • Enya's big sister Maire is the most talented member of the family.

  • @cozycute OK: as I like communicating with Irish friends and by kidding we also write in Celtic=Gaelic ( not only in English) , I use Google Translator English-Irish and they say it's correct.

  • @firsa62 Wait, huh? I'm getting confused. What were you talking about in the beginning?

  • @cozycute ??? I can communicate in Irish (Gaelic) with Irish friends and they say it's ok, of course because they speak a perfect English....so where is the problem? Celtic is too difficult for us to learn....(I'm Italian...)

  • @firsa62 I know that much, but at the time....

  • @cozycute You can find some help by using Google Translator ----> English-Irish

  • Oíche mhaith, Chris!
