Hey Paul! If your system crashes a lot and you have not recorded that many tracks does it mean that you need to get more RAM? How many tracks should you be able to run with plug ins on logic without it overloading? I am new to logic and have already run into the overload problem. I changed my buffer and got around it but I notice my cpu bar is still pretty far over for only running 8 tracks with effects. Just wondering why that is? I see other guys running 20 tracks with no prob. Any advice?

Paul, Thanks very much. Ironically, while your suggestions to improve CPU load were great, what seemed to have really worked was the exchange between you and @sprangful. I enable 64-bit mode, and (I assume) Logic was then able to use the extra 4GB of RAM. This seems to have decreased the load on all my projects (even those with no frozen tracks). So thank you for your work.

BTW, your delivery style in your videos is very pleasant.

@MrPaulWaller If you have it in 64 bit, I think it can handle more than 4 :)
