I have been having a hard time finding the fret spacing measurements, where did you get yours?

Hi there, try a search on manchesterguitartech fret and nut calculators/fret-calculator. You enter the number of intended frets and in the scale box the length of the neck from nut to bridge, then click calculate. It gives you the spacing in mm from fret to fret as the spacing decreases as well as the distance for each fret from the nut. Measure as accurately as possible and saw each cut as accurately as possible with a fret saw. Don't try and do the lot in one hit, take your time.

If I used solid oak for the neck, would I need a truss rod for 6 (acoustic) strings? I'd like to not put one in, but if it's almost guaranteed to bow I'll need to install one. What's your advice? Much appreciated.

@gutenschneider Hi there, I used here solid sepele which is a hard wood like mahogany. There has been no bend in the neck whatsoever. My brother (is can be found under my favorite videos) has used various woods without truss rod. The width of the neck on mine is at the first fret is 45mm and at the point where it meets the box 54mm. The neck is about 25mm deep. There is no way this will bend. You will be fine, trust me, you'll be nervous when the strings go on but you'll be fine.

So there I was in Sri Lanka formerly Ceylon and Hendrix wouldn't go on unless he had a brandy glass filled with 20,000 strawberry Mojos. So Keith Richards and myself broke into a corner shop on the edge of town where they had a bloody big bengal tiger....etc etc etc I had to beat it to death with my Cigar Box Guitar. Anyway we got the Mojos and Hendrix went on to do a great show.
