Trying out a SONY DCR PC3 camera. Rigid mount to the airframe with swivel. Twice around the pattern, there are 2 jump planes & some skydivers with me. 10 - 15 mph headwind, 55 degrees, pretty good short field performance.

  • Nice Vid. How much did you pay for the Sony DCR-PC3 Video Camera? I'm thinking to get a used one.

  • Borrowed it from a skydiver. Batteries are weak & wont hold a charge. He wants $350 for it, but I think I'll pass. Sometimes the focus goes haywire. Otherwise, nice unit.

  • Great video, when you side slipped it gave us a view of the skydiver. Not may places around the strip to go if the rubber band breaks.

  • Very nice. How'd you wire in your intercom?

Also, I'm about to buy a plane. I have two offers: A challenger ii and a ferguson fb2 both for 7k. Which do you like better? I've only flown quicksilvers and cessnas. Also, what's the learning curve on a taildragger like that? I've only flown tricycle gear.

  • Very nice vid, it was funny that the plane was so small and it took about 6 sec for it to be airborne.

  • nice video. at first I was disappointed because I couldn't hear the plane, but then I realized you connected your IC/Radio to the mic input. Nice effect. :)
