@usaswim323 wellll... learning how to spell words means learning a lot of words and all of the information about them. so i'd say if you know all those words from doing a spelling bee, along with their definitions and whatnot, it could increase your vocabulary in your regular speech and in formal writing quite a bit (:

the Spelling Bee is not a waste of time, ok? and i am not pointing out the someone here who commented that. It is not rubbish and it definitely isnt pointless. it helps kids learn words and it increases vocabulary and it makes you smarter so take ur stupid comment somewhere else. ur just jealous!
