  • the fact that he has to defend the bibble as being boring shows the bibble is truely boring

  • @MarkG45 Actually, I call those miracles. If those acts were magic, they would have no purpose. But God has a purpose for all of us: to enjoy Him. The hymn writers, apostles, poets, & historians wrote down what they saw, & what they saw was miracles. God used those people to author the Bible so that more can believe. Let's not dumb down the acts of God to "magic."

  • "I invite you to live in it" lovely Word of God :)

  • @ashgiri94 I'm sorry but what do you call a creature that puts on fantastic visuals like lighting bushes on fire or walking on water or making lots of bread out of little bread or color changing water? Sounds like a magician to me. We can disagree on the name of the magician and whether he REALLY does magic, but come on. We can all agree it's magic, fantasy, and fairy tales.

  • @MarkG45 You are misunderstanding. Christians don't believe in "magic". Instead, we believe in the power of the single, all-knowing, all-seeing, ever-powerful God. There is a tremendous difference. I will pray that the gospel will continue to be preached to you, and that your heart would open up to our mighty creator.

  • what an ass, give it some time and john will most likely be next to bebrought up on child molestation charges this dude is a freak

  • @v01741r31 They both contain magic? One you recognize is an entertaining story with interesting plot development where the main character triumphs over evil and dies for the sins of hatred only to risen again out of love.

The other is magic you think is real.

Trying to analogize the Bible to Harry Potter really makes no sense. Harry Potter is fiction designed to entertain an audience, written by one author like 10 years ago. The Bible is a collection of writings from 40 different authors over a period of over 1,500 years. Some of the authors are kings, others laymen, others prophets, others historians. Some of the language is poetic, like Psalms, other times it is historical like the gospels. Tell me how that makes a bit of sense.

  • @Mark

A miracle is done by God... not human beings. Magic is the opposite.

The Bible is an account of the events leading up to the time of Jesus, and his ministry. What's so hard about that for you? The Bible doesn't call itself true, it was written by 40 different authors. The apostle Paul said that the OT scriptures are sufficient to equip someone, that's about it. The Bible's claims can be held up to scrutiny. Many have done it in sophisticated ways and others in not so good ways, like you.

  • @v01741r31 Magic is a vain attempt to invoke the supernatural.

Harry Potter is full of miracles, because miracles are real and magic is false. Everything you mistakenly believe to be magic in Harry Potter is in fact true. Why? Because the Harry Potter books claim them to be true.
