I get to were you are please tolerate this sauvage and continue
to give me subtitles. Don't hate us for not being born Francophone,
it wasn't by choice. At least even if English becomes the most spoken
language, it can only ever be called the "lingua Franca", so smile...

Thanks so much for uploading this video! This summer I saw the Poeme Harmonique DVD of Bourgeois Gentilhomme: it was exquisite, a true Gesamtkunstwerk long before Wagner's bloated attempts: the perfect collaboration of singers, dancers, actors & musicians. The restored French phonetics took some getting used -- fortunately I live in Quebec, where some of the old pronunciations are still in use. Bravo to all who made this production possible!

I only found this video by now.
I was working on this production and it was an enormous piece of work. I never got a chance to see even a glimpse of the final result by snooping quickly in the audience room, because we were so busy backstage. But seeing it now it makes me proud.
