TimberKing B-20 sawmill - Cherry log (crotch) with beautiful feather and grain structure. I'm going to sell a few slabs and use a couple of them to make a desk and a bench for the sawmill. This log is BEAUTIFUL! Waiting till it is dry enough to use is going to be hard. Where the two branches come together to make the most beautiful feather, there are several bark inclusions. Several slabs in the center of the log will crack before they dry, but butterfly keys should hold the sections together and black epoxy will fill any voids that develop. Too bad the most beautiful figgured grain will always have defects that need to be fixed before the wood can be used. It's just a little extra effort for major gains! Straight grain is stronger, but so plain...
