I took a few days out of the past two weeks or so and come up with a piece of software, which, if you ask me, looks a pretty good amount like the real "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" software. So I figured I'd share a video. It's still semi-unstable code, and it's very easy to break right now if you don't know exactly how to control it, when to press certain buttons (i.e. it's a rush-job). Also, the graphic when the prize money is showed looks wrong.

Enjoy. I stole all the $100 to $1000 questions from somewhere else (I think the computer game). I wrote all the questions after that. I think.

Final note: I can answer questions about the software, but I cannot, and will not ever, distribute this software.

Thanks for watching!

  • I like how you used $128,000 instead the old $125,000. But maybe you can replace $250,000 and $500,000, with $256,000 and $512,000 as well.

  • @mmucougar Haha yeah that was purely accidental. I was corrected many times afterwards (and I believe I fixed it in the software in future vids). Either way I've abandoned this engine and am now using a different graphics stack all together.

  • How do you do the keyboard controls?

  • There is a prompter at the bottom of the screen. I've actually changed the controls slightly in a newer version I'm working on.

Basically, you press shift whenever progression is needed (going to next question, revealing answer after guess, etc). While the question is being displayed, you press A, B, C, or D to select an answer, and then press SHIFT to make it final and highlight it. For lifelines, you press L and then select 1 for Double Dip, 2 for ATA, and 3 for 50/50.

  • on the question for $8,000 it is actually a Digital Versatile Disc

  • Technically it is both Digital Video Disc and Digital Versatile Disc. So it's a bad question altogether.

  • It's not really what the player's screen looks like, it would have the same layout of the question boxes though, but it would also have the Money Tree and the Lifelines above it.
