Not to be a buzz kill or anything but the Coriolis effect is too weak to to work on such a small body of water I think you've been watching too much Simpsons its a myth it all depends on the type of sink you have we have both anti clockwise and clockwise draining sinks here in Aotearoa (New Zealand) DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE THERE WILL BE A 2013

@bugnarese well I dont think you are correct either, my friend did the same as me, filling his sink up 10 times and guess what???, 5 times it went anti clockwise and 5 times clockwise!! hmmmm maybe he has a schizo sink eh???

water always drains in a clockwise direction in the Southern Hemisphere, and in a counterclockwise direction in the Northern Hemisphere. The supposed reason for this "fact" is the Coriolis effect, which has to do with the effect of the earth's rotation on moving objects.

@biggordy100, thank you for the update. I'm sure you've watched the drain go counterclockwise your whole life there. Somethings not right. @PurifyMyHeart3 Hi PMH3, yes its also happening at a friends house, he filled his sink 10 times and it was 50/50 clockwise and anti clockwise! this is proof something is changing with the Earth, also the weird weather as well as the strange noises being heard ......connection???

Hello biggordy100, Thank you for sharing. I live in the northern hemisphere (US - clockwise). When did this start? Have seen this occur at other places besides your home? I just checked with a friend in Australia who did a test five times and found the water drained counter clockwise each time - as it should. God bless!
