I agree with you there. They only intervene if they get some type of strategic advantage out of it. No I sort of agree with you. It's a big crock of shit, we are lied to, and then my gov't forces its people to go fight for their greed. They don't have the draft anymore, but the stupid Democrat controlled gov't could easily pass one. I became a Libertarian because I lost faith in both parties. Half of it was that Rumsfeld's fault. They never would have gone into Iraq had Rumsfeld and the big Dickhead Cheney not suggested it. His father should have pushed to Baghdad in '91 and finished that story right then and there. Part of the neo-con ideology is now that the USSR is out of the way, we should go dominate the world. Build an empire basically. China, Iran, North Korea will probably be their biggest opponents now.

Hey buddy, I was out there protesting when our government decided to go attack Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Then the CIA lied about Hussein's connections with al Quieda. They never found the WMDs. Hussein is gone, so now it's just one giant occupation and it'll end up the same way Vietnam did. I felt that attacking the Taliban in Afghanistan and finding bin Laden whom they were harboring was the correct response to take. He was finishing what his father failed to do.

Well I'm definitely not one of those right-wing nut jobs that blindly goes along with whatever the gov't wants me to believe. I feel that all authority must be questioned. I don't think the Democrats are any better. I know alot about politics, and I choose to place my faith in the Libertarian party. But please, don't for one second, think of me as one of those conspiracy-theorist people who wear the tin-foil hats and think that everything is one giant conspiracy.

Communism was a threat, but I find it sort of hypocritical that we forgot all about Cuba and decided to go thousands of miles away and fight a war in a place that we had no business in being. That war was between the Vietnamese only and they wanted their independence. They even asked for our help, we sluffed them and aided the French, so they turned to someone they didn't understand - the communists. Communism was an idea. It can't be killed, but you can keep throwing money at it.

Well those wars they were funding in Laos, Cambodia and probably small other parts of Indochina were by definition illegal. What the CIA does is "covert," therefore nobody is supposed to know about it. Congress and the National Security Council are supposed to be governing their activities, but neither of them do. Congress simply tells them how much funding they can have from the gov't. But as you see, drugs are a huge profit for them and it's off-the-books.
