Speak the truth my brother. Black folks need to be told the truth straight up.

this video is on point, however black people in the past believed in ownership, ie Black Wall Street in Ok, Paradise Valley in Det, MI, Rosewood, Fl, Harlem, NY. The system have interfered with our prolific production. Now we have to trust and learn to work together to build these edifices again and create jobs for our community. we also go tot love ourselves and have confidence in self.

This is all true. Trends are set before us to make us feel like we aren't pretty enough, not fly enough (yes, I said fly cuz I'm old), not good enough, not worthy enough. At some point you need to know who YOU are, and be content. Keeping up with the Jones' will keep you in debt. Wise words in this video--All young people of every color should hear this.

I see a lot of long comments, all can be settled by saying this, All colors of people have some with quality like this, as African Americans can have every quality you could want in a person.

Racism is an odious form of collectivism that can, and only will be debunked by individualism. The individual should be judged by his or her own merit. This country is like drunken sailors who borrow and spend, when what Americans should really be doing is saving, investing, and producing.

who knows the song playing
As long as black people exist in a system that relies on black people to survive this will continue. i see black people set up business in the communities and i have seen the racism pushed (to crush) on my brothers and sisters to close down (even with unnecessary police presence), iv seen some taking up extra jobs to keep up with overheads. non of this seems fair, we need stop working for the system and put our business to our creator instead, while waiting for the system to crash.

@Josephrass Oh-k-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-y. You just keep doing that. "The Lord" is going to come save you. You need divine intervention to make a profit? Are you SERIOUS? Black business owners do it all the time.
The ONLY people who constantly whine for God to come save them from OTHER MEN are cowards looking for any excuse not to do what they should.
Funny how no one looks for God to pick up their spoon and feed them at dinnertime. Guess it'd be too silly to say the spoon was "oppressing" you.

Yo, this fuckin video really hit home. I feel every word you're speaking, and it inspires me to sit down and really brainstorm - but it's that fear of failure in business that tends to bruise self-esteem that keeps me hesitant. As they say " nothing ventured, nothing gained". Thanks my brotha.

We live in a "winner" culture that is obsessed with "saving face". But if one never goes out and risks loss how can he ever have the chance to win? At that point you would solely have to depend on the charity of others since that involves a minimum of risk.
Study the stories of millionaires like Ray Kroc or McDonald's, Reginald Lewis of TLC Beatrice, Robert Kiyosaki and Tony Dungy of the NFL Colts.
AVOIDING failure doesn't make you a winner.
OVERCOMING failure does.
