Unfortunately, this is the only video recording of Saint Pius X... no audio :/

This is so sad because Leo XIII had his voice recorded in the 19th century, so I really hoped someone had recorded S. Pius' voice, but there is no known record. Or maybe there are unknown records in the large Vatican archive that are so damaged that can't be used anywhere.

Are you catholic? Did you ever attend to a Tridentine Mass?

I am catholic, but sadly i never attended a tridentine mass, i truley hope that one day i will attend one. I credit our holy father benedict for restoring it!

Nice, thank you! I am passionnated by the history of Popes! I love the Tridentine Mass and hope it will be widely used again! It's a pity we don't know the name of the bishop with his holiness Leo XIII...things went lost with ages!!

I think St. Pius had a movie made in 1914 where he gave a tour of important spots in the Vatican. I have not ever seen clips from this movie. Maybe we will have to wait until the art of restoration progresses a bit further, and maybe then they will be able to bring back this old movie.

Pois é, aos 27 seg. parece um vulto, mas pode ser o espectro de quem estava acompanhando o Papa. Até porque as imagens obtidas por estes aparelhos antigamente continham muitos problemas.

Agradeço a Deus por ter enviado este santo homem afrente da Igreja durante um período em que a ordem a qual pertenço estava se estinguindo e ele por inspiração divina nos uniu aos Ligorinos. Hoje os Teatinos existem graças a este santo papa que tem em sua homenagem a nossa casa mãe na cidade de Fartura-SP, que leva o seu nome.
