The soloist is playing on a Baritone Bugle in the key of G. Probably manufactured by Kanstul. Sound is unmistakable - don't need a video to identify that ;)
I was always told they made union scale ... so about $25/hour, but they get paid when they just chillin backstage. They get the full 8 hours for 3 to 5 shows 5 days a week.
I had a friend in the (also defunct) Blast! prodxn @ Cal Adventure. He said it was salary: $45K - not bad for doing what u luv!
