I fully support the idea of stating the human rights in every passport. That is a simple action that could make a huge difference. PEACE TO ALL.

It's actually neither fair nor true to suggest that the UDHR is incompatible with Islam. Saudis did participate in drafting the document, and the only major conflict they had with the document was Article 18 (freedom of religion and freedom to change religion), because apostasy is explicitly banned in Islam. Otherwise, there was broad consensus.

Some, including the Saudis, voiced the belief that cultural context mattered in how the rights were guaranteed, but they shared the general principles.

Thankyou. Somebody with a brain. They can dress it up with fancy and profound words all they want but that does not make it true.

Article 2 is heavily damaging for class-based societies, and Article 15 would rapidly generate chaos within geopolitical hegemonies. The rights by themselves are great, but it's very difficult to apply them outside of western culture or the first world overall.

It's imposes many western values on other people - Democracy, for instance. Engaging in democracy is a choice of the people, and many people feel perfectly fine with the system of government they have at the moment.

Things like "everyone has a right to raise a family" prevent people from managing overpopulation, while the right to own property is hopeless for societies that don't utilise it or distribute property among multiple sub-groups (soviet-style communal housing, etc).
