I teach ESL to Mandarin speaking students in Taiwan through the Skoolaborate program. Conversational English has much more value when the students are given the opportunity to communicate in real time rather than through traditional text book lessons. The freedom to create their own individual identities empowers them with ownership. Even the shyest students gain confidence enough to eagerly participate.
