The ocean has a knack for taking the mundane and making it spectacular. When it takes something spectacular, it recreates it into a fascinating State of Mind.

Atocha coin clue # 7: If the coin had eyes it would see the top of your head.

Here's a link to an article in the Ft. Myers News-Press by Kevin Lollar on the "Vandy's Sunken Treasure."

  • Good luck treasure hunting! But remember, you will ONLY be able to appreciate your treasure if you come back safe to appreciate it. The coin is NOT hidden in a hard place. Most entrances have an exit in clear view. If you dont see an exit, dont go far into the ship, youll be in a silt out when you turn around. Be careful, dont take chances, dive with a buddy, monitor your air, depth and down time frequently. The trick is to make sure youll dive again! Be prepared and come back safe!- Pat

  • And by the way, it looks like incredible vis. It only looked like this the day day it was sunken. When I went to the ocean floor there was maybe (If i was lucky) ten feet vis. Great Videos!

  • oh no worries I´m fifteen and my dad owns the dive shop called Bonsai, I was one of the first to dive the Vandenberg and I have had over three hundred dives. I have penetrated the Cayman Salvager so so many times and have been in many rooms in the Vandenberg. I really can´t wait to come down again and I got so hyped up when I read about this and watched all your videos! Thanks again! Vince

  • Omg thank you so much for doing this! I'm coming doing there this winter break (one more week) and im going to try and dive the Vandenberg everyday! I just hope nobody finds it in a week. I'm so excited! Ahhhhh! :) It was an exciting dive before but now I can actually have something to do down there! I was there when it sunk and i have dived it over twenty times since then and i have discovered many cool rooms there so I'm hoping it's somewhere around there :D Thank You Pat!
