How to Put Rubberbands on Braces

Showing how I put rubberbands (elastics) on my braces. I use the hook thingy to hook the elastics on the brackets and to take them off. Hope this helps!

i have a question. So the other day i dropped all of my rubber bands on the floor so i had to wash them, then when i put them back on, i didnt feel as much pressure as before. Was that because of the water loosened them ? I'm very afraid that they wont work anymore. And how often do i have to replace the new ones ?

@snowqueen93 Hi! I wantd to experiment with the water before I gave you an exact answer. I did not experience any change with the elastics after washing them with water. Keep in mind that the elastics must be durable since they are worn in your mouth 24 hours a day. We consume hot meals and beverages on a daily basis, so they have to be able to withstand that type of stuff. Also,theres the possibility that your teeth are moving quickly and that you may be just getting use to the pressure.

@mskinkybeauty They are perfectly fine. Rubber is water resistant in most cases, but if you have concerns ask your ortho. I replace my rubberbands multiple times a day....maybe like 2-4 times a day. My orthodontist gives me tons of them so I'm never lacking rubberbands. Make sure to ask your ortho for a ton of em.....they have plenty. thnx for watching!

@kinzie8989 Thanks so much for watching. It's not difficult at to speak with braces or with elastics. Half the time I forget that I'm wearing the elastics, that is until I begin eating lol.
