@CoDMwHacks you only have the one hard drive but 2 partitions, d is an extra partition that was placed in by the factory to run a system restore, your pc should be equipped with an option to restore your system back to factory.

I have an Acer aspire M5200, and the right side panel won't come off. Is there some trick to it?
Also, if I replace my C: drive, do I have to worry about patching the power ratings to avoid over-taxing the PSU?

how do i do this on my sony vaio pcg-k35 laptop i need to put in a new harddrive the old one crashed but i do not know how to do this very well i did buy the new hard drive today so let me know how to do this...

@TheNascarfan14 Under your laptop you should see an access panel, one for memory and one for hard drive, take the screw out to remove the panel and the hard drive will slide out, Place the new one in and install the OS, after you can get a usb adapter to fit your old drive and plug it into a usb port to get your data back.
