What was supposed to be the purpose of all of this? I mean, what were they trying to find out?

Experimenters justified the use of 30 cats per year not by saying that the experiments would lead to improvements in human health but rather by stating that they needed to "keep up a productive publication record that ensures our constant funding."However, no peer-reviewed papers have been published in any scientific journals as a result of the suffering that Double Trouble endured. The experiment was a failure.

It has been proven, Kelley, many times over for many years that animal experimentation does not help anyone for any reason. And, they admitted here that they experiments were pointless. They failed. They killed the cat after torturing it. Please research. Companies have no reason for animal experimentation or vivisection. There is no proof and never has been. It is animal cruelty at its finest. No life has been saved from experimentation - human or animal.

Good thing for you PETA to expose the cruel products like Nestea, the cruel tea,by the way, these people must know that non-human animals are different than humans, thus the side-effects of drugs will be different than humans,so animal test will not give an accurate result for humans,so animal test makes no sense to us,it's just a waste of life.

Non-human animals also have feelings because they are living things.

animal cruelty will be 100% banned from this planet.

Right! And products that don't test on animals will be labeled as such.

Yes,unless we don't know the product that we buy is cruel

When people who treat animal nicely don't know that behind the products that he buy,he's not intended in animal cruelty

he can stop buying the products that is cruel when he expose the cruelty behind the product that he buy

people just have to be guided to buy cruelty-free products.

this made me cry and I don't know if I can finish watching this :'( I love my cats so much and treat them with nothing but love I could never dream of doing anything bad to this or any other animal. I really don't see the need for this and I dont understand how anyone can have the heart to do this or think it is in any way ok... I just want to eliminate the people who did this to this poor cat and anyone else who is horrible to animals. I also wish I could have saved her...truely heartbreaking

When we purchase products that have been tested on animals, we are responsible for the cruelty to continue.

Sorry to hear that. Studies published in prestigious medical journals have shown time and again that animal experimenters are often wasting lives—both animal and human—and precious resources by trying to infect animals with diseases that they would never normally contract. Fortunately, a wealth of cutting-edge, non-animal research methodologies promises a brighter future for both animal and human health. More info on why animal testing is bad science is available at PETA.org.
