This video series is to show the interactions between horses, to help you learn the equine language...
The big Dark Bay Horse was 7 months old when he met this pony for the first time, she taught him all he knows about being a horse...When Rain, the pinto, left a year ago, Nitris, the dark bay, took over leadership of Rain's daughter April...the Red Bay ....Nitris was very pushy and dominating of April, but she put up with it, and they grew very close over the year...Now April's mom is back....
We had expected Nitrs to be pushy and flashy and showy, running around as he usually does, prancing and acting all stallion like...After all, Rain was his only girlfriend...the only mare he bred, before being gelded...we did not expect to see, what had happened....it would seem that the very sight and sounds of Rain, reverted Nitris back to a baby stage, he was very cautious, not pushy, he showed her respect right from the start....
I will have to keep this all in mind when I start to train him....when you look at his training vids, and the way he almost seems to ignore me at times, or not even realize I am there....you can clearly see the difference between how he respects and responds to Rain, compared to me...I will have to be more like Rain, if I expect to get the same level of respect and willingness from him...
Interesting! That little pinto sure is a firecracker. The setting is beautiful, with all those trees and the crickets chirping.
