As a member of the House Aviation Subcommittee, part of the larger House Transportation Committee, Congressman John Boccieri, a pilot himself in the Air Force Reserve, talks regional airline safety and pilot training on fox's America's News Headquarters in light of a recent House committee hearing on airline pilot safety and training. Boccieri is working with his House colleagues to introduce an airline safety and pilot training bill to match regional airline safety standards with major air carrier standards.
The standards are already there, a 121 operator is one who is on a scheduled basis, has aircraft that is configured to carry more than 19 passengers and the seats are being sold on a one on one basis aircraft weights more than 12,500 BINGO The Pilot in command needs to have an ATP! But Wall Street are the ones who are using the pilots who have an ATP to fly their corporate jets around when they legally don’t need them. But the general public are being screwed for a less experience pilot.
