@Umskiddy He signed for Decca in 1963 and released 5 singles which got nowhere because, frankly, they weren't very good songs. David's voice just wasn't suited to them and they bombed. So Called Lovin and Never Mind Its Only Love were probably left over after he left Decca in 1967 and they just put them on an LP to use them up. Julie xx
@mobilediscosussex Paul, this song was only ever released on a Decca various artists LP called Lost & Found. It was released in April 1980 and featured lots of early recordings by some famous names, such as Rod Stewart, Genesis, Denny Laine and lots more.As well as this excellent track it featured another by David Essex called Never Mind It's Only Love. It is now as rare as rocking horse shit! I have both songs and ALL of David's 1960s songs on CD, contact me if you want me to send you a copy.
@starladyjulie Thanks, Julie.So it's atround 1966/7 then. Thanks a lot for that.

Hi Julie
Thanks for your message
I managed to get it on a CD from Deram, they have released a lot of the Decca back catalogue. The Northern Soul Scene is the name of the CD.
I have not got the, "Never Mind It's Only Love" Track though.
I would love a copy. Thanks again

En effet, pour cette chanson, j'ai cru que c'était Tom Jones qui chantait, David Essex a une voix très intéressante, il peut tout chanter.

c'est super de retrouver la belle voix de David Essex sur un morceau inconnu.
