Homemade 4 stroke outboard boat motor, did'nt do real bad. This was pushing a 1982 15' Duracraft aluminum flatbottom boat.

  • Your not the same dude that puts 4hp Johnson outboard powerheads on weedwackers are you?

  • @japar75 No, Too many problems with the water cooled engines. Thought about a Briggs motor, but, 3 1/2 horse would be all I would want to carry, lmao

  • thanx for your reaction, i want to build one my own that's why. i love it, its great!!!!

  • @max99max9 If you run into problems just ask, I'll tell you what I know to help.

  • why dont they make air cooled outboards? so much easier and cheaper to maintain. great engine. you ought to make and market the lower units... you would sell lots to folks that would just supply their own BS engine.

  • its a damn lawn mower lol

  • Loud a'f

  • You need a smaller prop. Find out what the ideal high RPM is for this motor, and find a prop that lets it get up to that rpm. variables are size and pitch.

  • This video just made me miss the Red Green show :( :)

  • How heavy of a flywheel did you need to install to get it to start easier? I'm nearly done with my outboard project (you helped inspire me), but can't get it to start, even in a barrel of water it turns over too easy. I'm going to try a heavy pulley on the shaft side of the engine, but I need to know what it should weigh. If you could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

  • Put a good mufler on it. You done scared all the fish off.

  • looks good--only reason its not quite as fast as the 6 hp johnny is it turns at lower rpms...so the prop doesnt spin at the right speed...good vid
