Episode 1 of Tales from the Trail finds Blaire and Chris in the Catskill Mountain Range, upstate New York. Over the course of five days and five nights, our audience follows the pair as they set off from the renowned Windham Mountain ski chateau, traveling south, toward the town of Woodstock. In Tales from the Trail fashion, this hike offers something for everyone; from eight remote miles astride the challenging Black Head Range Route, to a first timers streamside sojourn at the waterfalls near North South Lake Campground. Along the way theyll be staying out under the stars to show us the ropes of proper footgear, shelter camping and bear proofing. Theyll also take the time to introduce us to experts on local history and ecology and attend a performance by two local folk musicians. This action packed episode, which the audience will be able to track by the GPS TRACKER function on the program website, wends through secluded waterfalls, fire towers and a variety of happy accidents sure to occur when our hosts set off on the first of many uniquely American adventures.
